Andres Felipe Palacios Rodas

Andres Felipe Palacios Rodas was born in Pereira, Colombia and has been playing classical guitar for 17 years. He studied at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia. He currently studies at the Peabody Institute, Johns Hopkins University under Franco Plantino.

Andreas is the recipient of a full scholarship from Peabody and scholarship from Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation.

He grew up in a vulnerable neighborhood, and the guitar served as a passion that kept him safe from the adversities of the challenging environment of his neighborhood.

Andreas performs at Springwell Senior Living on a weekly basis and the rehabilitation center Helping Up Mission. He is an artist in residence with the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society and has a full teaching schedule.
